Eva is a strange, young woman living on the streets. Due to a horrible and abusive childhood, Eva now deals with posttraumatic stress. Her sanity becomes questionable when she becomes the main suspect in a multiple homicide case, and she says that a mythical trickster, called Exu, is the one responsible.  She develops a close friendship with Detective Kevin Williams, and puts her faith in him when it comes to proving her innocence.
